Everything is Racist

When words lose meaning...

AdulthoodMy favorite leftist friend sent me a video he wanted my opinion on. It is Steven Bannon giving a speech in France; March 10, 2018. Now, my friend only sent me the 15 second clip of a 35 minute speech. His intent was not really to get my opinion on the speech but to try to shame me by guilt of association, because you see Bannon spoke about how the Social Justice Warriors' (SJW) main weapon is to call everyone and everything racist. The narrative of the SJW is to get you to spend all your time defending against their accusations. It doesn't matter if the accusations are true or not; it's the "seriousness of charge". Calling a person a racist is the best way to make them recoil in horror and make them shut up about everything except defending themselves against the accusations. They call you racist if you oppose Islam even though Islam isn't a race. They call you racist if you oppose illegal immigration. They call you racist if you dare oppose any idea or concept espoused by anyone with even slightly darker skin than yourself. To this end, Bannon said:

"Let them call you racists. Let them call you xenophobes. Let them call you nativists. Wear it as a badge of honor." -- 35:28

Tearing Down Monuments

If we really want to get rid of all vestiges of racism then...

Democratic Party is a monumental racism

If we're serious about tearing down all reminders and symbols of America's racist past, we should consider ridding ourselves of the biggest monument of all to racism; the Democratic Party. We cannot say things like "that was a long time ago" or the party has since changed. The Democratic Party quite literally created the KKK and imposed the discriminatory Jim Crow laws on black Americans for over 150 years. The Democratic Party has been the most racist and longest racist and most recent racist symbol in American history, yet most people have never been taught that history.

If the purpose of tearing down all the Confederate monuments is to remove all memory and exaltation of a racist symbol of America's past; then the first monument that people should tie a rope around and tear down is the Democratic Party. It is not a "changed" party since in 1924, its national convention was basically a Klan rally. Since in 1964 its president Lyndon Johnson was still calling black Americans "niggers". Since in 2008, a cadre of Democratic politicians lined up to insult Barack Obama by calling him the first "clean" African-American presidential candidate with "no negro dialect" Since in 2016, Hillary Clinton told a group of black Americans that if they wouldn't listen to her then "she'd only talk to white people"-- What's all that supposed to mean?

TOKENS

adjective: token
1. done for the sake of appearances or as a symbolic gesture.
"cases like these often bring just token fines from the courts"

While we may refuse to accept it, the world employs many tokens; things that are done for mere appearances whether or not it is legitimate or not. Of all the places where a token is the most offensive and degrading is when people are tokens. What is even worse, is when people willingly participate in being tokens. You could be the token woman in a group. Or the token black person. Or the token homosexual. Look at any local television news broadcast and you will see the epitome of tokenism. They seem to always have the token woman. The token black person. The token "minority" (a detestable term) whom may look Hispanic or middle eastern. And perhaps a token potentially homosexual.

Could you imagine being hired somewhere simply as their token. "We need to hire a black person so we don't look racist." Is this really how you'd want to get a job? It is an insult.
