Are You Next? Police Shootings

All lives matter

The idea that police officers all across America are targeting black people (African-Americans if you prefer) is a false narrative. Although Barack Obama said on July 7, 2016 that "The data shows black folks are more vulnerable to these kinds of incidents" He went on to cite figures of how black Americans are more likely to be arrested for this or that crime. What he didn't point out is that for whatever reason, black Americans commit a higher ratio of crimes. For instance, the recent instance of black man Alton Sterling apparently being shot point blank while two officers were trying to detain him. The narrative that is put forth by the media is that Sterling was an innocent man, minding his own business as he was targeted by police simply because he was black. But the reality is that just like in the cases of Michael Brown and others, these men are not innocent. Sterling was a registered sex offender. "He was previously arrested for aggravated battery, criminal damage to property, unauthorized entry and domestic abuse battery, records show. In 2009, he was sentenced to five years in prison for marijuana possession and for carrying an illegal weapon with a controlled dangerous substance." -- source While this isn't justification for his killing, it demonstrates that "innocent" black men AREN'T being gunned down by police. Many of these case are inevitable either by police or other criminals. The lives of these people are on a path of destruction despite the color of their skin.

So, when someone acts like they could easily be "next" to be shot by police; we must ask them why? Are you a criminal with a long criminal past? Did you just recently rob a store like Mike Brown? Will you fight back and resist arrest if the police are called out because of reports that you (a career criminal) have a gun? Yeah, you WILL BE NEXT if you do these kind of things.

Further, many in the black culture for the last 50 years have been perpetuating an image of...well...badasses. Whether it is in music, film, or where ever; many black people want you to believe they are badasses that will not hesitate to fight you or harm you if you cross their path. They create a stereotype of hostility. They want to be feared. I mean, why not perpetuate a stereotype of civility and intelligence? True or not, other cultures have different sterotypes that serve to help them, not hurt them. If the so-called black leaders, including Obama spent more time trying to combat the self-made stereotype of hostility perhaps more young black men would seek to emulate a culture of civility and intelligence instead of violence and fear.

I recall the images of the 1960s civil rights marches and one thing that was very impressive was the attention to perception. Look at the protesters here:

Civil Rights

They aren't looting liquor stores, they are flying the American flag instead of an African flag or Mexican flag. They want to improve America, not destroy and "fundamentally transform" it into something else. Granted, not all the civil rights protests were so orderly.

While there is no denying America's past of racial division; the false narratives that conservative white people are racists and liberal white people are trying to help is a flat out LIE. The Democrat Party started the KKK. The Democrat Party opposed the FIRST Civil Rights Act of 1866 that granted:

"That all persons born in the United States and not subject to any foreign power, excluding Indians not taxed, are hereby declared to be citizens of the United States; and such citizens, of every race and color, without regard to any previous condition of slavery or involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall have the same right, in every State and Territory in the United States, to make and enforce contracts, to sue, be parties, and give evidence, inherit, purchase, lease, sell, hold, and convey real and personal property, and to full and equal benefit of all laws and proceedings for the security of person and property, as is enjoyed by white citizens, and shall be subject to like punishment, pains, and penalties, and to none other, any law, statute, ordinance, regulation, or custom, to the contrary notwithstanding."

Reading that, what OTHER rights were needed for black Americans? It clearly spells out SHALL HAVE THE SAME RIGHT. Black Americans are always taught about the Civil Rights Act of 1964 as if that is when they won their rights. They are taught that the Democrats secured those rights for them, yet even in 1964, more Republicans voted for the Act than the Democrats (look it up). The only reason the Civil Rights Act of 1964 was needed is because racist Democrats disobeyed the Civil Rights Act of 1866. They began to impose the "Jim Crow" laws, forcing Black Americans into segregation.

Unfortunately, the falsehoods persist to this day. When I engage some blacks or even white liberals with these FACTS; they will admit that Republicans were originally the champions of rights for ALL AMERICANS, but then these liberals will claim there was a role reversal where the Republicans became the racists and the Democrats the champions of the underclasses. The claim is that after the Civil War and especially after the Civil Rights Act of 1866, many Republicans bolted and joined the Democrats. First off, does this even make sense? After all, the ENTIRE impetus for the Republican Party was to be anti-slavery. It would not have been a surprise to Republicans that their party was going to support freedoms for black Americans. The narrative AGAIN is false.

Most Americans of ANY race, simply want to live in peace and with the least intrusion from social engineering politicians or mobs of left-wing fascists claiming to be for "democracy". You'll only be "next" to die if you put yourself in that position.
