Hands Up: Why is this happening?

In August of 2014 a black 18 year old man named Mike Brown was shot and killed by Ferguson Missouri police officer, Darren Wilson. This event sparked riots and looting by locals and perhaps by others entering the area. A short time after the hostilities, the police released video that purports to show Brown stealing $50.00 in cigars from a liquor store and pushing and threatening the store clerk. While even police admit that Wilson did not know at the time Brown was a suspect in the robbery, the video could show that the media narrative of Brown being merely a shy, "gentle giant" that was gunned down merely for being black, is a false narrative. Brown was shot after being confronted by Wilson for supposedly walking in the middle of the street which was disrupting traffic. There is a claim by the police officials that Brown resisted and physically abused Wilson. All of this is lost on the "protesters" who simply think this is "white cop racism and brutality".


Alveda King, niece of Martin Luther King jr. made some comments while on the The Steve Malzberg Show.

"Why are these people desperate? Why are they doing these things?'' she asked, echoing one police official. What's wrong with an education system that let them drop out and not prepare them to work and do an honest day's work for honest day's pay so they can have some dignity so they don't end up in the convenience store?" I like Alveda. She is more like her uncle than the fake pretenders of today such as Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton...BUT...


How is it "being desperate" to rob a store for cigars? Maybe if Brown was shoplifting food we could question how a "young man" could do such a thing. We saw the video. If it is Brown, he isn't a "gentle giant" -- he's a THUG. So Alveda, the question should be: "Why are so many young black men being thugs?"


It isn't about "what's wrong with the education system". Ever since desegregation black children are educated in the same way and place as white children.


What's wrong with the black community is that for over 70 years you have been voting primarily for Democrats who keep telling you that you are 2nd class. That you cannot succeed without their help. That you are owed everything by society. That you have a right to welfare and affirmative action policies. It is the Democrats that have destroyed the black community by re-enslaving them. Yes, I said it -- slavery. The Democrats are the party of the KKK -- remember Senator Robert Byrd? (look at the FACTS: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2309727/posts )


So Alveta, maybe it is time we start telling black Americans that before they are any color, they are Americans -- Americans should not rob other Americans. Americans should not expect other Americans to owe them things. America is supposed to be a place where a person has the opportunity to be judged by the content of their character and not the color of their skin. But if we keep allowing the race-baiters like Sharpton and even Obama to rile us up, we will never get along.

The Democrats have been robbing black Americans of their dignity for over 70 years by telling them they can't succeed unless they vote Democrat.
