You have identified the reason I often call preterism (especially full preterism) theological liberalism akin to political liberalism. Both redefine terms and present false narratives when arguing their points. For example, preterists often interchangeably use the words/phrases "return", "resurrection", and "come back" while ignoring that in Mt 26:64 Jesus comes TO the Father/Ancient of Days, as a verification and vindication that he is the Christ/Messiah he claimed to be. It was not a return to Earth. Anyhow, your paper looks like it zeros in on this problem that a discussion with preterists is flawed by their redefinitions. Let me know how it goes. Thanks for sharing.
