Why Republican Politicians are Ridiculed

Are Republican presidents dumber than Democrats?

Elephants and Donkeys

"The illustrious Deal maker Trump has continued during the last week to make a fool of himself and to mortify and shame the intelligent people of this great nation. His speeches have demonstrated the fact that although originally a Herculean businessman and more lately a whimsical story teller and side splitter, he is no more capable of becoming a statesman, nay, even a moderate one, than the braying ass can become a noble lion. People now marvel how it came to pass that Mr. Trump should have been selected as the representative man of any party. His weak, wishy-washy, namby-pamby efforts, imbecile in matter, disgusting in manner, have made us the laughing stock of the whole world. The European powers will despise us because we have no better material out of which to make a President. The truth is, Trump is only a moderate real-estate mogul and in the larger cities of the Union could pass for no more than a facetious pettifogger. Take him from his vocation and he loses even these small characteristics and indulges in simple twaddle which would disgrace a well bred school boy." – (ref)

The above is a media report of…….. Abraham Lincoln during his first few days as president. I only changed the text which originally referred to Lincoln and as a lawyer. As you can see the media has always treated Republican presidents as if they are not “intelligent” or “braying asses” and that no one should have voted for them and that they are “imbeciles” and “disgusting” and make America a “laughing stock of the whole world” and that Europe will “despise” us and that it is sad that “we have no better” person which to make president and that a mere school boy is smarter than a Republican president.

I am NOT trying to compare Trump to Lincoln. I am trying to compare the way the media reports on Republican and Democrat politicians. We merely need to look at the coverage of the last few Republican presidents to see the bias against Republicans. I am also NOT advocating for Republicanism, merely showing the blatant bias of the media.

  2. Ronald Reagan ref1, ref2, ref3

But the truth is, most Republican presidents have come from successful businessmen or governors, unlike the Democrats who often are career political wonks. In fact, Obama has virtually no experience working at a private sector job. He went from "professor" to career politician without having had managed any type of true organization. He had no military experience. George W. Bush was ridiculed as a "C" student in college but his Democrat opponent, John Kerry scored even worse, yet the media portrayed Kerry as the intellectual. Even left leaning NPR had to admit it. (ref)

While no president is going to be perfect, we want someone with a background in successful management, since being president is essentially managing the nation. We want someone who can relate to the military and the average solider since they will be the Commander-in-Chief. We want someone who doesn't lecture us but shares in our vision of an America that promotes individual liberty over group "equality" since America at its core is about individual rights over socialistic group entitlements. We want a president with the force of character to take on the critics of Americanism; both those outside America and those people born here that seem to hate America.

The media made fun of Lincoln's looks. They ridiculed him as if he were a dumb con man and jokester who is an embarrassment to the nation. They said that he'd make USA the laughing stock of the world. We're told these same sorts of things every time a Republican president is elected. But when a Democrat is elected, we're told they are experts and the most qualified ever. Obama told us that Hillary Clinton would have been the most qualified person to ever be president.

Whether you vote Republican, Democrat or something else, you have to be honest with yourself. Unless you do a bit of research on your own, every election cycle you will be presented with a false narrative by the media. Had you been alive during Lincoln's first campaign and were told by the media that he is making a fool of himself and shaming the intelligent people of America and that he shouldn't be the leader of any political party much less the nation, you most likely would have believed it and not voted for him. Now, in the Information Age, where the media can bombard you on the TV, on the radio, on your phone, on your favorite show by putting in little indoctrinating quips against a candidate or political party; how do you think you are really making an objective choice? You are being conditioned to vote a certain way because you are being conditioned to believe the Republicans are dumb and the Democrats are intellectual. You are being conditioned to believe the Republicans are only for rich old white guys and the Democrats are for oppressed groups everywhere; when historically and in reality, the Democratic Party literally created the KKK, imposed Jim Crow laws on black Americans for over 150 years, voted more against the Civil Rights Act, sent almost 200,000 Japanese Americans to concentration camps against their will, had a president who was still calling black Americans "niggers" during the passing of the Civil Rights Act and had a presidential candidate in 2016 who actually told a group of black Americans that if they didn't listen to her, then she'd "only talk to white people". Yes this is all TRUE. Look it up. Don't let the Democrats tell you "that was a long time ago" or that the "parties switched roles" -- that is just not true. rodericke.com/cra1866
