One Year Ago Today We Predicted a Trump Win & Likely Landslide Becoming the Only Major News Source to Get it Right!

GatewayPundit - Fri, 11/03/2017 - 12:45

Guest post by Joe Hoft

One year ago we correctly predicted the results of the 2016 Presidential Election.  While the MSM was in unison predicting a Hillary landslide based on faulty polls, we looked at real data related to rallies and social media to correctly predict President Trump’s eventual win.  Below is our prediction!

So what is going to happen on November 8?

On April 2nd of this year we predicted that Ted Cruz would be mathematically eliminated from the Republican race for President on April 27th because on that day he would need more delegates than would be available. We also predicted that on April 27th Donald Trump would accumulate 943 delegates which would put him well on track to win the Republican nomination.

April 27th came and Ted Cruz was eliminated and Trump had amassed 944 delegates (which later was updated to 950 delegates). We were spot on!

Our projection for the 2016 Presidential election is this—
Trump will win by a similar fashion as Reagan did in 1980 and here’s why –

Trump won big in the primaries –

This year Republicans crushed their previous record in the primaries for number of votes by 150%. Their old record was 20 million and this year 31 million voted in the primaries. The Democrats on the other hand had 7 million votes less than their record year in 2008 with 30 million this year compared to 37 million in 2008. Donald Trump also SHATTERED the GOP primary record by 1.4 million votes in a field of 17 candidates.

Many of the polls are biased –

These past few weeks a number of polls show Hillary Clinton leading Donald Trump by various margins. One poll reported by NBC/WSJ showed Hillary ahead by 11. However, it was never pointed out by investigative journalists that the poll was created by a Hillary Super PAC.

Also, it’s also well known that the Monmouth University poll is run by a Hillary Huckster who recently was caught manipulating a poll and then lied about it. takes an average of these distorted polls to come up with their analysis of the current race. Their efforts are a great example of the phrase – ‘garbage in – garbage out’.

Many if not all of the polls include samples that are heavily skewed towards Democrats or women. WikiLeaks released Clinton emails showing there efforts to work with the pollsters to corrupt the polls and discourage Trump supporters.

Rallies Show Massive Excitement for Trump and None for Hillary –

We have kept track of the number of participants at both Trump and Hillary rallies since the conventions in July. Since August 1st Trump has crushed Hillary in these events. Trump rallies have accumulated more than 710,000 in August through October while Hillary’s only at 60,000. These numbers are so huge they cannot be ignored!

Social Media

Social media numbers for Trump heavily outpace Clinton.

The Bernie Factor

Ask any Democrat who supported Bernie Sanders whether they will vote for Hillary. The answer is ‘no’. A significant number of Bernie fans hate Hillary Clinton for the super delegates she received to steal the election, for the questionable primary wins on her resume and because of the revelations in WikiLeaks where she slams Bernie and cheated at every turn. The Bernie people know that the media is biased and will not vote for Hillary and this is a significant number of Democrats.

Lawn Signs

Finally, look around. How many people in your area have Hillary signs in their front yard or on their car? Everywhere you go you see Trump signs. However, you could drive for miles and see no Hillary signs. The excitement for Hillary is just not there.

Based on Current Polls –

Based on a statistical analysis of current trends in the USC Dorsife/LA Times Poll we predict Trump at 49.9% and Hillary at 40.9% on election day.

Based on a statistical analysis of current trends in the IBD/TIPP Poll we predict Trump at 47.7% and Hillary at 43.4% on election day.

In Summary: We believe Americans will not vote for such a corrupt and flawed individual as Hillary Clinton. Americans want a candidate they can respect and trust – Hillary is not that candidate.

Trump will win on Tuesday.
Trend lines show Trump will win by 4-9 points.
He will likely win by 7 points.

We were absolutely correct – President Trump Won Crushing Clinton in the Electoral College!

Next up for sexual harassment scandals: Capitol Hill?

Hot Air - Fri, 11/03/2017 - 12:41

Early in the Harvey Weinstein scandal reporting arc, I wondered when we’d start hearing about harassment and worse in other centers of power that have few opportunities for accountability. The Tim Murphy scandal exposed a years-long pattern of abuse in his House office, and while it was not sexual harassment, it clearly indicated that same lack of accountability for exercise of power, and the same “open secret” mentality as Hollywood. “It’s not just the Weinsteins in Hollywood whose abuse gets excused as an ‘open secret,’ either,” I wrote. “Who are the other Murphys and Mosychuks in Washington DC?”

You know, I think we’re about to find out. The Associated Press talked with Mary Bono and other women who have served or are serving in Congress, and they’re beginning to talk openly about their experiences with fellow members — although they’re not naming names. Yet:

As reports flow almost daily of harassment or worse by men in entertainment, business and the media, one current and three former female lawmakers tell The Associated Press that they, too, have been harassed or subjected to hostile sexual comments — by fellow members of Congress.

The incidents occurred years or even decades ago, usually when the women were young newcomers to Congress. They range from isolated comments at one hearing, to repeated unwanted come-ons, to lewd remarks and even groping on the House floor. Coming amid an intensifying national focus on sexual harassment and gender hostility in the workplace, the revelations underscore that no woman is immune, even at the highest reaches of government.

Linda Sanchez (D-CA) says her harasser remains in Congress, but that she’s not able to do much about it:

“When I was a very new member of Congress in my early 30s, there was a more senior member who outright propositioned me, who was married, and despite trying to laugh it off and brush it aside it, would repeat. And I would avoid that member,” said Rep. Linda Sanchez, D-Calif. She added that she would warn other new female members about the lawmaker in question, but she declined to identify him, while saying he remains in Congress.

“I just don’t think it would be helpful” to call the lawmaker out by name, Sanchez said. “The problem is, as a member there’s no HR department you can go to, there’s nobody you can turn to. Ultimately they’re employed by their constituents.”

And that makes this situation somewhat different than in other power centers. Each Representative and Senator is, at least theoretically, a free agent with equal power. Voters elect them to office, and no one except the voters can “fire” them. If indeed sexual harassment is about “power,” as Barbara Boxer tells the AP, how can it exist between equal members of the same body?

Two women currently serving in Congress have an answer to that — one that may surprise readers. Jackie Speier (D-CA) got harassed as a congressional staffer, but says that women in office need to be “big girls” and not put up with it:

Yet when it comes to lawmakers themselves, Speier said: “I think the women in Congress are big girls. The equalizer that exists in Congress that doesn’t exist in other settings is that we all get paid the same amount and we all have a vote, the same vote. So if you have members that are demeaning you it’s because you’re letting them.”

Former Rep. Ellen Tauscher of California flatly argued that harassment can’t take place between members of Congress. “Female members and male members are equals, they don’t sexually harass each other,” Tauscher said.

That’s an interesting argument in itself; the AP notes that the law on sexual harassment recognizes that it can take place between peers as well as people at different levels. However, there’s a bigger picture in this story. The harassment between members only sets the table. If it’s this bad between peers, what is it like for the staffers?

Like Hollywood, young men and women flock to Capitol Hill to find seemingly glamorous careers in a high-profile industry, and face tremendous competition for jobs that really matter. Thanks to Congress’ decision to remove almost all accountability from themselves for employment practices, they can treat these staffers any way they want without much fear of exposure. Like Hollywood, they only are at risk when they’ve already stumbled badly enough to risk losing their office — as happened with Tim Murphy. Until now, that’s the only circumstance in which the “open secret” becomes the acknowledged reality.

The real scandals will come when staffers on Capitol Hill begin naming names. Having these members come forward to tell their stories might reveal a host of “open secrets” in the same fashion that Harvey Weinstein’s accusers broke the dam of silence in Hollywood. That day seems to be approaching soon — probably a lot sooner than 535 elected officials on that end of Pennsylvania Avenue expect.

Las Vegas Sheriff: Stephen Paddock’s Girlfriend May Be Hiding Something

GatewayPundit - Fri, 11/03/2017 - 12:35

It has been over one month since the largest mass shooting in modern US history.

On October 1, 2017, Stephen Paddock unloaded his weapons on a country music festival from his room at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas.

58 people were killed and 546 others were injured.

Police have still not explained his motive for the shooting. Multiple timeline changes. Mystery surrounding the security guard who was shot. The killer’s hard drive went missing. The hotel has not released any footage of the killer.  It goes on and on…

Police also announced 30 days after the shooting that an officer discharged his gun in the room the night of the shooting.

Now this…

Sheriff Lombardo is now suggesting Paddock’s girlfriend, Marilou Danley, who is still a person of interest is hiding something.

Fox News reported:

Sheriff Joseph Lombardo, in his first TV appearance in nearly three weeks, told KLAS that investigators he’s spoken to believe this assessment is accurate. But he added that something appears to be off about the manner in which Paddock amassed his arsenal of weapons.

“There is a lot of people that have hundreds and hundreds of guns, but for this individual to do it at a certain point in time and to do it all with such robust action, you would think that Ms. Danley would have some information associated with that,” he said. “But currently we haven’t been able to pull that out of her, if it’s in her.”

Lombardo added that Danley will be interviewed again this week and he suggested she could have prevented the massacre, which left 58 dead and hundreds injured.
Lombardo also said that Marilou Danley will be interviewed again this week.
